9. Urethral stricture
1) Etiology
(1) congenital: congenital meatal stenosis
(2) post-infectious: gonorrhea
large bore catheter를 유치할 때 잘생겨 -- ischemia, necrosis
(3) post-traumatic:
1> blunt trauma (8-10% of pelvic bone fracture) - memb. urethra
2> straddle injury - bulbous urethra
(4) iatrogenic: instrumentation
- the most frequent cause: urethral instrumentation
- the most frequent site :
① urethral meatus -- postcircumcision meatitis
② fossa navicularis -- instrumentation
2) Cx.
: prostatitis
3) Sx.
: weak voiding stream M.C Sx.
4) Dx
: Uroflowmetry - 10 ml/s이하
